The United States Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service, Cotton and Tobacco Program has a requirement for 10 gauge wire bale ties. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for
commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The written solicitation, AG-4740-S-17-0010, is attached. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 332999 with a size standard of 750 employees. The period of performance for this contract is 60 months. A firm fixed price with economic price adjustment indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract will be awarded. The guaranteed minimum for this contract is 1,000 wire ties. All proposals must be received by May 5, 2017 at 10:00 am eastern time. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (www.sam.gov). Registration in SAM is free. A sample wire tie pattern must be received my 10:00 am eastern time on May 5, 2017. The sample will be sent to Ray Scroggins at 3275 Appling Road, Memphis, TN 38133. Wire tie patterns must meet the specifications stated in the solicitation and meet the Buy American Act. Contract award will be made to the offeror whose proposal is technically acceptable and lowest price. All questions must be submitted in writing to BeverlyS.Brown@ams.usda.gov.
