Windshield Temperature Control Test Set
The Windshield Temperature Control Test Set (TSPI 6039-13-1,- 3) provides a method of rapidly testing the Windshield Temperature Controller of the A-10 aircraft.
The OEM of this tester is DNE Technologies, with the most recent procurement in 1990. The technical data package was not purchased by the government so we are unable to compete without reverse engineering. The tester is no longer produced and due to unavailability of parts, extensive costs, and the critical need of the tester; it is not feasible to reverse engineer the tester at this time.
Solicitation is expected to be issued on or around 11 July 2017. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency.
As this asset is no longer produced and the U.S. Air Force does not have the technical data package this acquisition is planned for a Sole Source Surplus buy. A thorough MRR has returned one viable source for these surplus items.
