The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), has issued solicitation BEP-15-0001 to procure Win Wedge Pro Software Licenses (WP4).
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Submit only written offers; oral offers will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Online Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) through the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov by the response due date to be eligible for award.
Quotes are due no later than 2:00 pm EST on Thursday, December 4, 2014.
The government intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) award based on the lowest priced technically acceptable quote. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Offerors providing the required brand name support will be considered technically acceptable. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210, Software Publishers with a small business size standard of $38.5 Million.
The Place of Performance for this acquisition will be Washington, DC 20228.

WinWedge Pro is a highly advanced set of applications that work together to get data from practically any type of data source (RS232, RS485, some USB, TCP/IP or Disk File Data) directly into any application program or web application running on a stand-alone PC or across any TCP/IP network - including Ethernet or the Internet. WinWedge Pro Software is the name of the current software that BEP has been using and to change manufacturer or software would mean purchasing new software. To go with new software would be a great expense to BEP as well as training the users. TaLtech is the manufacturer of this software, and there are several authorized resellers for this brand name software.
The Award will include one base year with three additional option years. The Period of Performance will be begin for one year from the date of award. The anticipated award date is December 12, 2014.
All offerors that can provide the above requirement shall submit a written quote. All quotes shall include: Price(s), Point of Contact (name and telephone number), delivery date(s), business size, payment terms, Taxpayer Identification Number and Dun & Bradstreet number. All products/services must be in compliance with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Services/Supplies performed/provided as a result of this solicitation should be accepted based in part on satisfaction of the above provisions and requirements for accessibility.
