The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), on behalf of the Program Executive Office (PEO) Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) Communication and Global Positioning System Navigation Program Office (PMW/A 170), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a full and open competition for the design, development, testing, integration, verification, and production of the Wideband Anti-Jam Modem (WAM). The Government estimates it may procure up to 966 WAM production units. The WAM is the Navy's next generation Wideband Satellite Communications (SATCOM) modem that will be integrated with the Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT) on ships and submarines and the Modernization of Enterprise Terminal (MET) on shore for communications over the Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellite constellation.
The anticipated solicitation release date is January 2019. The solicitation may be issued without further notice and will be available on the SPAWAR e-Commence website: https://e-commerce.sscno.nmci.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review this webpage frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be used.
