Wide Area Network with Broadband Internet Services for Public Libraries
The State is soliciting offers from qualified telecommunications companies to: (1) improve, increase and upgrade the existing Internet services of all public libraries within the state which currently have Internet connection speeds of less than 1.5 mbps up or down; (2) design, install, activate, operate and maintain a hybrid terrestrial/satellite communication network with broadband Internet service to all public libraries; and, (3) integrate a statewide network (WAN) service in support of web- and video-conferencing for all participating libraries.
