In order to achieve a state mandated energy reduction goal, the State of Vermont Buildings and General Services (BGS) and Efficiency Vermont are collaborating on a pilot program that will a) demonstrate a cost-effective and sustainable investment model; b) set a standard for State building energy performance consistent with the 2010 State Agency Energy Plan; and c) leverage existing internal and external resources to maximize both taxpayer and utility ratepayer benefits.
BGS and Efficiency Vermont will implement a comprehensive, long-term energy savings program to help the State meet its energy reduction goals. The Pilot will demonstrate a strategic, "whole building" approach to thermal and electrical efficiencies through the optimization of facility operations and systems.
BGS is seeking proposals for a Whole Building Energy Investment Assessment (Assessment). The objective of the Assessment is to identify the potential and scope for the following: building controls recalibration, equipment replacement, and other energy conservation measures at [FACILITY NAME AND ADDRESS]. This scope of work is for a "Phase 1 - scoping study" only; any subsequent work at the facility will be contracted separately. BGS is seeking a study to identify opportunities to reduce energy consumption primarily through building optimization strategies.
