Purpose
The purpose of this RFP is to solicit responses from qualified parties or individuals to serve as a website designer with the task of creating a user-friendly, informational site that maintains reasonable download time. It is envisioned that respondents to the RFP have experience and expertise in the field of web design.
Background
The existing web site was originally created in 1999. The main purpose for the site at that time was to provide easy access to technical information by regulated businesses and agencies. To that end, the existing website has functioned well. However, as the Internet has gained acceptance as a communication tool by the general public, the site needs a new look and utilize new technology to provide information as effectively as possible to a wider audience.
