We have an existing public facing website http://www.sfcitygudes.org and a reasonably complex back-end management information system (MIS) to handle scheduling, training and guide communications. These systems were developed in-house with a volunteer staff (a remarkable achievement that points to the dedication of the City Guides community) and function reasonably well.
However, given recent and projected growth of the organization the board has adopted a strategic plan with one of the objectives being to professionalize our Web and MIS system development and
maintenance. A secondary goal is to use this opportunity to modernize our public site design and to add back end functionality for future needs.
To this end, the management board of City Guides is looking for a development firm to redevelop our:
Public facing website
Internal facing "guides' only" website
Internal facing staff and committee member MIS interfaces
Underlying database structures
Existing data to the new site (porting databases)
Notwithstanding the opportunity to improve and modernize our website design, this is not a "rebranding"
exercise. We expect vendors to work with our existing logo and content material.
