Website Redevelopment
Specifically, the website must:
Meet the information and communication needs of a large number of internal and external audiences and stakeholders, including business (pharmaceutical companies, medical device/imaging companies, potential donors from the business community, etc) , academia, healthcare professionals, and patients and their families. It will:
Enable two-way flow of information between the organization and our diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Be appealing to academic, business, and community audiences including patients and their families.
Facilitate business development activities locally, nationally and internationally.
Include patient-oriented information on recruitment for clinical trials and research advances.
Highlight and support our in-house research support services, including those for clinical trials, financial administration, education/professional development programs, and in-house communications/media support (that are conducted in partnership with VCH and UBC).
Include a confidential, password protected section that is accessible only to VCHRI researchers and staff.
Integrate our primary internal and external communication tools, including, but not limited to: daily news stories, research highlights, media relations, VCH news e-letters, annual reports, and our weekly E-update.
Be a compelling showcase for research achievement and scientific advancement. VCHRI has seven major research centres, twelve research programs and many up-and-coming research areas. Most of these research Centres, Programs and research areas have existing websites. The new VCHRI Website should integrate with these existing websites as well as enhancing their profiles.
Be dynamic, responsive, and fluid. The site must be easily maintained and updated on a regular basis by VCHRI personnel.
Be integrated and compatible with, and linked to, Vancouver Coastal Health's Website and its newsletters, updates, etc.
Proposals should include recommendations for the long term hosting of the Website that is most conducive to the integration with VCH's existing Website.
