The new website design must encompass the following:
Content Management System
Design must be compatible with a commercially available off the shelf content management system (“CMS”), or freely available content management system. The organization currently uses Wordpress as its CMS standard. If a new CMS is chosen, it must be able to be hosted on a shared server platform, Linux or Windows. Any change to the CMS will require approval of the organization.
Third Party Tool Integration
The Organization currently leverages a donor management system from Blackbaud/Kintera which is hosted separately from the main http://www.capitalpride.org website, but presents the same look and feel as http://www.capitalpride.org. The Designer will be responsible for ensuring the design is compatible with and integrated into the Blackbaud/Kintera site. As the design style sheet or “shell” must be able to be integrated into the Blackbaud/Kintera site, access to the Blackbaud/Kintera portal will be provided by the Organization to the designer.
Outreach Communications
The new website must support diverse communications strategies which include, but are not limited to, “Web 2.0” and social media tools, press releases, email announcements and still/moving image hosting.
