AusAID, the Australian Agency for International Development, manages the Australian Government's official overseas aid program. AusAID assists developing countries to reduce poverty and achieve sustainable development, in line with Australia's national interest.
AusAID is looking to improve the return to the Pacific from remittances by helping to lower
the cost of remittance through a simple and low-cost initiative, a website that allows a
remitter to compare all available remittance services to their destination, particularly by
cost. AusAID's objective is to create greater transparency in remittance costs to stimulate
competition and better service provision in the remittance sector.
