Website Redesign Services
The redesign of the City website includes the aesthetic and organizational structure with the goal of showcasing the City’s brand while improving the user experience. Successful solutions will include:
• Standard compliant design for dynamic and static web pages
• Compatibility for multiple web browsers targeting users in IE 7 & 8 as well as Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari
• Compatibility with multiple computer operating systems such as Windows XP & Vista & 7, Linux, and Apple operating systems
• Site design must adhere to ADA standards of usability
• Industry best practices for search engine optimization including, but not limited to:
o Meta-data for each page (i.e. title, description, keywords, etc.)
o XML sitemap for submission to search engines
o Alt tags for images
• All submissions must include content management system with the ability to provide minimally trained members of the City of Brookings staff the capability to:
o Maintain and modify existing content
o Add and remove pages from website
o Add and remove documents from the site including pdf, xls, doc and other files
o Set an archive date for each document to archive automatically
