Website Redesign RFP
Humanities Texas (hereafter referred to as HTx) seeks proposals from a full-service web design firm
(hereafter referred to as contractor) to design, develop, and implement an update to the current HTx
website. This update will:
reconceive the sites aesthetic design within certain parameters;
update key portions of the sites information architecture so that the full range of HTxs
programs and resources more comprehensible to, and easily intuited by, online users;
integrate the website with HTxs other information systems, eliminating unnecessary
duplication of data and ultimately reducing the amount of data entry currently required of staff;
incorporate a content management system that allows staff to easily maintain and extend the
content of the web site;
provide new tools that allow constituents to learn about HTxs service both to individual Texas
communities and to the state as a whole;
support the easy addition of multimedia elements to the site;
support the expansion of HTxs services to the people of Texas.
