Website Redesign
The purpose or intent of this RFP is to solicit competitive, sealed, proposals to establish a contract for the redesign of a website for the school.
Currently, our web site only offers static information about our services and activities. The current site also suffers from information architecture flaws. Content is difficult to locate and not current. Any content changes require the use of an external designer making it difficult to quickly update site content. The current site needs a design update utilizing the current content implementing a content management system to allow in house updates. The objective of this site is to: Provide information relevant to Lexington’s programs Keep students, parents and clients informed of our activities
Create a high level of interaction between parents, students and faculty Provide parent access to the school’s academic system (Power School) Attract potential students and clients to our services Attract potential donors Facilitate client intake via online appointment requests Process credit card transactions for donations, sign language class registration, school store and theater tickets.
Technical and Infrastructure Requirements
The site must be designed to run on Windows 2003 server running SQL Server and IIS The site must be programmed in ASP.NET The site must be compatible on all major browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 7, Safari All programming must meet strict W3C standards as outlined on the w3c.org web site Hosting service must provide usage analysis data
