Website Re-design, Development, Implementation, Hosting and Maintenance of the Town of Windsor's Website and Maintenance of local Wi-Fi System
The purpose of this RFP is to seek the services of an experienced website design firm to re-design, develop, implement, and provide hosting and maintenance information for the Town's website and provide maintenance for the Town's Wi-Fi on the Town Green. This project will involve utilizing posted information on the existing website as well as the implementation of new information and features as suggested by the Town and the firm selected. Website should have a system whereby a deadline can be inserted that will automatically remove old material. The website needs to resonate with visitors in an aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly format. The website should present a compelling visual message that makes an emotional connection with the viewer and will attract visitors to our Town. The Town is interested in an innovative design that aids website visitors who generally know what information they need or service they want to secure. The site shall also equally facilitate usage by visitors who may not understand how to find that information or service within the governmental organization. A re-designed website is a critical element in providing more information and interaction with our target audience. The Town's existing internet website www.townofwindsor.com contains general Town information, including separate pages for Town's departments, specific events and functions. In addition, it is the Town's intention to expand the current usefulness of the website, and future needs and functionality should be demonstrated in the proposal. The Town is committed to being available to provide information and support to respondents and will be actively involved in providing information and support throughout the redesign process. The successful firm must have substantial experience in website design, development, implementation and maintenance.
