Website Project
This project entails designing and developing a fully-functional website that meets the Museum’s needs.
Consult with the Museum staff regarding detailed goals, different options and approaches for website development.
Design new website to achieve the Museum's goals:
 Strongly drive attendance, generate excitement and interest in Museum’s offerings, and encourage membership and other purchases.
 Educate different types of visitors about the amazing nature of Museum’s current exhibits and the services it offers to Chicago’s families.
 Enable the online processing of membership transactions, donations, etc, online. New website should fully connect with existing databases as appropriate (Convio, Raiser’s Edge, etc).
ï‚· Build communities that interact with the museum, providing an eventual path for upgraded resources for members and others.
ï‚· Enable CCM to better communicate the progress toward the new Museum in Daley Bicentennial Plaza.
ï‚· The Museumwebsite must meet W3C Priority 1 standards http://www.w3.org/TR/WAI-WEBCONTENT/ and an Accessibility page must be included.
ï‚· Enable Museum to regularly update and manage content, including calendars, through code and/or CMS.
Museum will be responsible for development and coordination of content for the new site. Consultant will be responsible for project management, design and development.
