We are interested in identifying partners that can help us successfully re-launch and then continue to work with us as we evolve our Web site and its use in serving Vermonters.
Over the past ten years, the VSOS web site has been maintained and extended using tools and techniques that have led to a number of impractical Web site issues for the VSOS. For example, today the public web user experience often leads to incorrect information presented, or the experience itself is not desirable, web content is not maintainable by VSOS staff, the web presentation style is outdated, and the content structure and underlying delivery technology is not sustainable. Thus the current Web site is not meeting the daily needs of the VSOS agency and the needs of Vermonters.
There are three aspects to this project:
Design - VSOS has completed a new design and will be re-launching a revised Web site (RWS). Some highlights of the RWS that Contractor will be responsible for implementing include: new look and feel new templates for various pages and sections new, limited functionality backward compatible support for older .asp database pages
CMS - In addition to the above changes, the VSOS seeks a Content Management System (CMS) that places a premium on ease of use, flexibility and expansion.
Hosting - VSOS is interested Contractor proposals for operating and administering all underlying infrastructure
