Website Design and Implementation
The website to be designed for the company is to be well thought of
and planned. There is an existing prototype which was made 2 years back and is
functional. The idea is to use better technology to scale up the website to a very high
level.
The website is to be a portal with capabilities for multiple user registrations along with
open id integration.
The following are the requirements for the UI �"
o Intuitive animated background (Flash / HTML 5)
o Provisions needed for posting, editing and deleting entries, uploading
videos, voice recordings, pictures and a sketch board where a user can create
sketches as per requirement.
o Google maps integration (Capability to determine the location of the user)
o Provision to detect the local language and give the user the option to change
the default language to whatever she/he wants (Languages to be supported
can be discussed later).
o A chat tool for users currently logged in.
o Mail based notification system transcending all user activity.
o Customized privacy option for user posts.
o Integrated search ( A third party search provider is acceptable)
o Complete integration with all possible social networks. (Facebook, Twitter,
mySpace, Orkut, etc)
o Surveys and polls can be added and administered by the users themselves
and by the webmasters.
o Uncluttered home page. Horizontal scrolling strictly not allowed. Vertical
scrolling not allowed on the home page and kept to a minimum on the other
pages. (Resize the web page as per the browser window size)
