Website Design and Development
The Initiative is soliciting proposals for web design and development services to support the execution of a new website to be used by the Management Team.
A finished product and services should include:
A. Design and Execution:
• Consistent look and feel to all pages (fonts, graphics, and color schemes) and have a consistent design on multiple Web browsers (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
• Interactive homepage (multi-media capabilities, social media feeds, highlighted updates)
o Customer friendly, with an emphasis on functionality
o Improved user interface and navigation
• Document Organization:
o Specific areas for documents on individual pages
o Able to search within site to locate document based on key words
o Archiving of older documents into searchable library
• Navigation:
o Quickly click to destination on site
o Links to other related sites
• Accessibility:
o San Francisco is required by law to make electronic and IT resources accessible to people with disabilities per Section 508c, provision of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973

B. Implementation:
• Content Management System (CMS):
o Easy to manage, maintain, and expand; allow multiple Management Team members to update pages
o Create, Delete or Edit pages
o Upload documents to pages or archive
o Add photos, videos, audio to pages
• Calendar: able to enter/update events from CMS
• Integration of rich-media: videos streams, podcasts, social media feeds
• Search box: visitors enter keywords and phrases to locate documents, staff directory, and general information about the BAUASI
• Online forms for project proposals – saved and archived in the Content Management System, so staff can access and download forms in Microsoft® Office
C. Hosting:
• Vendor shall provide web hosting services for the following URLs:
o www.bayareauasi.org
o www.bauasi.org
o www.bayareauasi.com
• Vendor shall provide:
o Dedicated web server (can be cloud server) on which the above URLs will reside
o Provide web hosting service with unmetered Bandwidth
o Accommodate unlimited subsites
o Web hosting with unique IP address
o Web hosting service that includes assistance in securing/registering future domain names
Deliverables:
• Design, develop, maintain, and host a website to reflect the BAUASI’s public image:
o Interactive web design for central homepage
o User-friendly site/information architecture
o Content Management System
o Maintenance: web hosting and support
o Documents: frequently used page library and archive library with indexing and searchability
