Website Design, Development and Implementation
The current website was implemented in 2004. The site is difficult to navigate, does not accurately reflect the needs of its customers, and has an outdated appearance. Content is also difficult to manage and keep updated.
The OWNER would like to replace its current website with a new design using SharePoint as the web content management system. The design of the site should be easy for non-technical staff to update. While some content from the current website will be on the new sitef the new website will contain substantially more information as reflected in the requirements of this RFP, and have no future relevance to the previous site.
This project is intended to deliver a functioning basic website. There will be no integration with other systems at this time. There are other projects underway that will affect the usage of the website in the near future:
New customer information and billing system that will contain a web portal for customers.
The addition of modules to our Oracle E-Business Suite purchasing system, allowing supplier interaction through web portals.
Integration with our customer service call center for real time web chat.
These projects are planned within the next 2 years. They are referenced here for informational purposes only and will not be part of this project.
