The Organization is seeking a website that will be stored on a organization-owned server. The individual or firm selected should be able to register the domain name, but all ownership will belong to the Organization. Proposals can also include changes to the proposed website outline listed.
The finished website should accomplish the following:
* Provide visitors the option to translate the website into Spanish
* Provide visitors with information about the Organization
* Have a consistent look and feel to all pages (fonts, graphics and color schemes)
* Load rapidly and provide easy navigation between pages.
* Contain links to other related websites
Be registered with the major search engines to ensure the website is listed
* Be Search Engine Optimized so the website can be found when Internet users search for the website using keyword phrases.
* Use a Content Management System (CMS) capable of being maintained and updated by organization personnel
* Allow organization personnel to easily create and add new website pages if needed
* Social network “share” links throughout entire site for Facebook and Twitter and other sites
* Increased storytelling via visual techniques/multi-media (photos and slideshows, Flash, graphics, video)
* Calendar
* Password protected login for students
* Tracking system to determine site hits
* Blog-style articles
