Based on feedback from the entrepreneurial community, NYCEDC is in the process of creating website to enhance the success of entrepreneurs by offering a centralized information portal with information such as funding, real estate and networking opportunities (e.g., peers, mentors, and experienced start-ups), incentives guidance and recruitment information. The Web Portal should detail, highlight and showcase the Citys entrepreneurship and innovation accomplishments in financial services, digital media, web 2.0, gaming, advertising, fashion design, bioscience, and clean technology fields. The Website should simultaneously act as a resource for entrepreneurs both those already in the City and those that are considering relocating to the City and as a marketing tool to showcase the Citys vibrant entrepreneurial culture and community. Therefore, the portal will require a robust, user-friendly, intuitive and visually appealing design.
The Web Portal should be comprised of original and third party content and utilize dynamic web tools, applications, widgets, etc. to disseminate that content. Content will be filtered by stage and industry of entrepreneurs and accordingly the site should be easily navigable and information readily accessible.
