Provision of a web-based management system for supporting regional collaboration on planning information,
facility-specific data and gathering initial emergency status information during a disaster event. This plan will
include 10 hospitals, 113 long term care facilities, health clinics and other healthcare facilities as necessary.
Each healthcare facility will have access to a customized web-based management system with specific
fields to support the Mutual Aid Plans. The system includes:
Document Hosting:
The system will enable posting of the Regional Healthcare Mutual Aid Plan, all of its components
and tools.
Facility Information:
Basic building information including key phone/fax numbers at the healthcare facility, Command
Center information, loading dock information and type of facility
Beds:
Number of beds and surge capacity information along with categories of care (what the facility can
provide on a day-to-day basis)
Contacts:
During an emergency or disaster event, it is critical that key leadership are notified of the disaster.
This section includes the contact names, phone numbers (home, cell, pagers, direct line, others), and
e-mail addresses of the persons you wish to include in system as emergency contacts (3-7 people are
typically included in this listing).
Transportation Vehicles / Stop Over Points / Evacuation Sites:
This section includes the type of vehicles owned by the facility for transportation of patients, staff
and equipment.
The Stop Over Points include information about sites (such as alternate care facilities) where the
facility can provide sheltering or short term care in an evacuation.
The evacuation sites include healthcare facilities that can be evacuated to with the facility, type of
beds at that facility and contact information for pre-planning an evacuation for either special types of
patient populations or, for long term care, the overall population. This will also include prioritization of the sites by priority order, directions to the site and miles.
