Following the vision of the Aboriginal communities of Vancouver Island, and to fulfil the
promise of the Tsawwassen Accord and the MOU for Children and Families, the Vancouver
Island Aboriginal Transition Team (VIATT) has set a strategic goal of developing a
Regional Aboriginal Authority based upon Aboriginal values and governed by Aboriginal
people.
VIATT wants to prepare a list of qualified bidders from throughout Vancouver Island who
are interested in providing a wide range of services for VIATT. Aboriginal respondents are
preferred as per Section 41 of the Human Rights Code. Respondents are asked to identify
their connection to the Aboriginal community.
The purpose of this Request for Qualifications is to qualify Consultants/Service Providers
experienced in the following Service Areas:
1. Group facilitation
2. Catering
3. Web design and maintenance
4. Writing
5. Event Planning
6. Governance and Policy Development
7. Temporary Secretarial & Administrative Services (Victoria only)
8. Classification and Compensation Review
9. Photography
10. Organizational Learning and Facilitation
