Waste & Recycling Containers with Advertising/Sponsorship Recognition

Request for Proposal for the design, manufacture, delivery, and management of the advertising/sponsorship component of 18,000 waste containers and 18,000 recycling containers that will replace existing containers along Chicago's 24-mile-long lakefront and more than 500 parks throughout the city. Each unit must be an individual stand-alone container with attached lid; have a 55 gallon capacity; be resistant to fire, dents, graffiti, animals, & minor vandalism;display the Chicago Park District official seal in plain view; and have an advertising/sponsorship area suitable for appropriate text & graphics. An advertising/marketing plan, samples or prototypes, and similar experience in past projects are also required. The Park District will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and emptying the containers. Therewas a PRE-BID MEETING at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2005, in the 8th floor Board Room of the Administration Building.
