In accordance with the CMPG 1.3.1, a search of the mandatory sources, under
UNICOR was conducted and does not provide the type of service requested. Ability One, another mandatory source does not provide the services requested.
A search of GSA FSS website did not provide opportunities for preventive maintenance and repair of washer and dryers. A sources sought was posted on GSA FSS website and only one vendor responded which does not have a GSA FSS contract however they work under another vendor on GSA.
A search on the SBA website under NAICS 811412 provided 51vendors available in California. In order to promote competition this requirement will be posted open market as a 100% small business set-aside.
MCB Camp Pendleton and MCAS Miramar have Government Owned washers and dryers (also referred to as appliances) located at multiple locations throughout MCB Camp Pendleton and Miramar. The services required are for on-site repair of various types of washers and dryers (including installation and disconnection of appliances) in the Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQs) located throughout the base. In addition services are required for monthly preventive maintenance of Heavy Duty Washers and Dryers and semi-annual dryer cleaning service.
