About the Event: ALC will be hosting its first Warehouse Industry Day. The event will provide the ALC the opportunity to present its current and upcoming warehouse requirements including but not limited to parts distribution, and storage of physical inventory. This will benefit the ALC by allowing us to increase competition between current and potential vendors, ensure the provided services are relevant to our specific needs, and to be certain we obtain the best value to support the ALC.
In addition, there will be an allotted time to network with some of the Contracting Officials, Technical Representatives, and the Small Business Specialist.
Who Should Attend: Companies, large and small, including socioeconomic businesses that are interested and capable of providing warehousing and distribution services for ALC in geographic locations away from Elizabeth City, NC, and at our on-site facility. Companies should be able to provide long-term storage of large aviation components and facilitate their shipping and receiving across the country. Prior federal contracting experience is not required.
All attendees are encouraged to network by utilization of a meet and greet, business card exchange, identifying potential partners, and sharing vendor and industry specific trends and practices.
The ALC plans to follow the agenda in Attachment C, and will allow vendors to provide recommendations or capability statements within thirty days from November 8, 2017 to D05-SMB-ALC-Industry-Events@uscg.mil. This is not a requirement, however it will be used as Market Research.
There is no cost to attend this event. The Government will not be held responsible for any travel, lodging, and cost associated with the development of recommendations or capability statements. All attendees are required to wear close toed shoes for the warehouse tour portion of the day, there will be no exceptions made.
At the discretion of the Contracting Officer, the USCG may use all or part of any suggestions or questions received in future correspondence regarding the Warehouse Industry Day. The original author will not be identified.
The USCG may consider the information provided by qualified vendors in the development of acquisition documents and planning for the Warehouse Industry Day acquisition. However, the USCG is not required to change or add any requirements to any future procurements based on the responses received as a result of this industry day.
Registration:
Seats will be limited and reservations will be based on a first come-first served basis.
Space is limited to the first 25 registrants.
Registration will close at 3:00 pm EST on 27 October, 2017 or when attendance limit is reached; whichever is sooner.
Due to the time constraints placed on this requirement we will be unable to accept applications from those who are not U.S. Citizens.
Please limit the number of attendees from your company to two (2) people.
Each individual must pre-register to attend the event using Attachment A, Registration Form.
