The County is seeking qualified vendors interested in walkway and hand rail remodeling at a local facility. The County intends to accept bids submitted on line through Bidsync, and award a purchase order to the lowest responsive and responsible contractor for completion of this project. Please do not call for details before the site visit.
SCOPE: This project will include but not be limited to the following:
Install 85 feet by 5 feet walkway with a slip resistant broom finish. Excavate as necessary to accommodate an ADA compliant slope and a 6" deep, " maximum aggregate base compacted to 95% compaction. Dowel #4 rebar to existing joints at 10" intervals with deep joints at every 5'. Have fabricated and install galvanized handrails in sloped area to match handrail on building #3 to the west of the site. In the (ADA slope compliance) excavated area, slope remaining terrain to the new sidewalk elevation at less than 5% grade. Spoils to be removed and disposed of by contractor in a legally accepted manner. Work to be completed on weekends, (Saturday, Sunday) to minimize disruption to the operation of the facility. Site to be left in a usable state to the facility during the week.
LICENSE: The prime contractor for this project shall hold a valid California State Contractors B" general license.
PRE-BID CONFERENCE: There will be a mandatory pre bid conference, or walk thru, on Wednesday, February 17th , at 10:00 am. Vendors will meet at the 3068 Grant St, Concord, in front of buildings #3 & #5. Interested vendors must plan to be at this meeting. Vendors are required to see this site before bidding. If vendors were not at a previous site visit then it is mandatory to be at this one. This will be the only time the facility is available for vendor inspection. This is an operational daycare facility. There are no formal plans or specs written up. The site visit is the only way to attain information on this project.
