This requirement is for the purchase of the WXR-700X Color Weather Radar System Antenna Subassembly and Mounting Base. Description: The WXR-700X Color Weather Radar System is a solid-state airborne X-band radar and its receiver-transmitter (RT) operating at 9.33GHz. The RT generates high energy transmit pulses and receives reflected return signals from precipitation, ground terrain, or aircraft (skin paint) targets depending upon the mode of operation selected. The requirements are for a Subassembly P/N 622-5137-401; NSN: 5985014323800CW; for a Quantity 4 ea. and Mounting Base P/N 622-5133-402; NSN: 5975014327267CW; for a Quantity: 19 ea. with an estimated initial delivery of four units five months after receipt of order (MARO) and a rate of four per month afterwards unitl the order is complete. This purchase is intended to provide the assets necessary to support the current Mission Requirement of the KC-135 aircraft. The Government currently doesn't own the technical data to produce these units and provide for a competitive acquisition. This acquisition will be sole source to Rockwell Collins, Inc. Rockwell Collins, CAGE: 13499, a Large Business with a NAICS: 334511. Rockwell is Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only approved source currently capable meeting the Government's requirements. However, Interested Party or Person(s) may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a proposal(s).
