The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties capable of supporting this requirement to create and operate a surge clinic for survivors and to provide services in a manner that is consistent with the requirements of the Zadroga Act. The WTC Health Program currently has a backlog of new survivor enrollees that is continuing to grow, on average, by 500 new applicants a month. The surge clinic for survivors is to provide support in reducing this backlog and increase capacity in the Program for completing initial health evaluations (IHEs), requesting certification, and when appropriate completing monitoring, and treatment for 9/11 survivors in the NYMA (New York Metropolitan Area) by having an operating surge clinic in Lower Manhattan. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 621498. Please see the attached performance work statement for more details on the requirement. Note, this requirement is referred to as a surge clinic due to the fact that the intent is for a temporary clinic to increase capacity, and the need for this clinic likely will not go beyond a year or two.
