The City of Portland, Technology Services Bureau is seeking a wireless intrusion system that offers integration into its current Cisco Wireless Local Area Network. Airtight Networks provides several functions in combination that are not available from any other vendor. Reasons for this choice included, but were not limited to, the ability to integrate with the Citys WLAN, provide over the air detection, support for live streaming of packets and the ability to auto-classify nonauthorized APs as rogue. The City intends to enter into an agreement with Airtight Networks for a wireless intrusion prevention system.
