Pre-Solicitation Notice

The Central Texas VA Health Care System Facility in Temple, Texas anticipates awarding a Firm Fixed Price Construction Contract for the Central Texas VA Health Care System Facility to provide services required to repair the leaking windows, soffit, frame work and trim on Bldg. 204 at the VA property located at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504.


The Scope of Work:
The contractor shall be responsible for providing the services required to repair the leaking windows, soffit, frame work and trim on Bldg. 204. Provide all materials, equipment and staffing to inspect and properly repair water leaks on the 5th and 6th floors of Bldg. 204 East side of building. Areas of concern are, but not limited to the area around and below the 6th floor patio area. The contractor shall remove, inspect, and repair all damaged and leaking areas of Building 204 Room 5J06,5G29, 6G05, 6G15 and 6G16. The services provided will be at the Temple campus of the Central Texas VA Health Care System Facility, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504 as stated in the Statement of Work.

A site visit is required prior to bidding. All numbers are approximate. Contractor needs to verify all amounts. If there is a discrepancy in the amounts provided and or any condition affecting work shall be brought to the attention of the VA Representative.

All work is to be accomplished at Central Texas VA Health Care System Facility, 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive, Temple, TX 76504.

The period of performance is 30 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed (NTP)

The method of procurement shall be Request for Quotation (RFQ) in accordance with Part 13 of the FAR, with an estimated solicitation release date of on or about January 28, 2019 and a bid due date on or about February 28, 2019. The VA reserves the right to use only Federal Business Opportunities/FedBizOpps (FBO) website www.fbo.gov via the internet, to provide notification of any amendments to this requirement and to post the subsequent RFQ solicitation. It is the contractor s responsibility to view the FBO website daily for any amendments to this requirement and to obtain the RFQ, Specifications, and Drawings if required.

This procurement is a competitive offer and the solicitation will be advertised as 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veterans Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), under Public Law 109-461 (38 USC 8127), offers received from other than SDVOSB concerns will not be considered. The NAICS Code is 238150, with a business size standard of $15 Million.

Probable Cost Range: Between $25,000 and $100,000.00.
