WELLNESS AND DISEASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM (LIVE WELL, BE WELL)
The State of Nevada, Purchasing Division on behalf of the Public Employees‟ Benefits Program (PEBP), headquartered in Carson City, Nevada, is soliciting proposals to administer PEBP‟s Wellness and Disease Management program within the State of Nevada, herein referred to as Live Well, Be Well. The services being solicited are bifurcated, some to include HMO and PPO participants, and some to include PPO participants only. Please see the flow chart provided under Overview and Scope for clarification. PEBP is looking for vendors who can provide comprehensive wellness services on a statewide basis.
PEBP has provided wellness and DM benefits since July 2005. These efforts have been somewhat successful, however, PEBP would like to pursue a more comprehensive approach. The scope of work described herein represents a new effort by PEBP. Through this RFP PEBP is looking to establish the Live Well, Be Well program with an experienced firm using best practices and one who will offer their expertise in assisting PEBP in the final program and incentive decisions.
PEBP is committed to providing the highest quality health benefits with an emphasis on customer service, preventive and wellness benefits, utilization management and promoting informed health care utilization while preserving individual choices and options. PEBP is soliciting proposals from vendors who will work in partnership with PEBP, provide exemplary services and make the desires and goals of this agency a priority. In addition, PEBP encourages interested bidders to provide creative, alternative solutions to PEBP‟s current needs as they relate to wellness and disease management services.
