WEBSITE DESIGN AND CONTENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
The goal of this project is to update the county website to a cost effective, efficient and easily managed web environment, by developing an appropriate hosted model to support the design of a focused web site using intuitive navigation controls that make the site convenient for all audiences that the county serves.
There are a number of primary objectives to be accomplished by the development of a new website, both
focused externally on website visitors and internally on website administrators. Aside from specific
functionality, the website should meet the following overall goals:
a) Provide accurate, current, comprehensive information in a visually appealing, user-friendly way.
b) Make it easier for constituents to interact with the Clear Creek County Government
c) Provide round-the-clock access to information and transactions.
d) Reduce staff time to handle routine inquiries.
e) Market and showcase services offered by Clear Creek County Government.
f) Offer a variety of communication methods to keep audiences up-to-date.
g) Allow audiences to create on-site profiles aimed at increasing participation and interactivity.
h) Promote the use of on-site media through photo, audio and video posting methods that encourage user
viewing and, when appropriate, feedback and interaction.
i) Simplify website administration, allowing users of all skill levels the opportunity and means to update
assigned sections of the website.
j) Enable site administrators to interact with a larger community of software users in order to develop
best-practices and share general information.
k) Build upon proven and accepted website development standards while maintaining the flexibility to
easily grow and add new functionality for audiences and administrators over time and with minimal
cost.
