WEBSITE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, AND HOSTING
The City intends for the redesigned site to support e-government transactions such as online forms and applications, online payments, and a variety of other activities in the near future. As the current website is challenging to navigate and staff has limited ability to maintain it, the redesigned site should have a theme that promotes the City with a welcoming, friendly, and professional feel. The City may consider streaming audio and video in the future. The successful respondent will create a flexible, informative website that is easy to maintain. We must develop a friendly site that can deliver large amounts of constantly changing information to our key audiences. In addition to designing a userfriendly site with an intuitive interface, we must also develop a web-based, database-driven
administration tool that allows key management personnel to easily update content without directly
accessing source code
The City is accepting proposals to design, develop, and host the City’s website. This
will be a concept-to-completion production.
The City currently has a web presence that is outdated in appearance, structure and in the presentation
of content. An opportunity exists to re-engineer the site to better reflect the City’s goal of improving
communication and to incorporate the latest technology.
The purpose of the City’s website is to provide simple and intuitive electronic access to public services,
serve as a public communication tool, reduce transaction costs for the City and citizens, and to
streamline business operations. Upon completion and acceptance of the project structure and design,
the website will become the sole property of the City of Mt. Angel. The City will be responsible for
content management and will own all content, coding and graphics
