WEB SITE DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT & HOSTING
CEIC is accepting proposals to design, develop and host the Association’s web site. This will
be a concept to completion production. The purpose of this RFP is to provide a fair evaluation
for all candidates and to provide the candidates with the evaluation criteria against which they
will be judged
Key Site Goals
In creating a new site, we look to achieve the following:
• Excite the visitor through visual design appropriate to district.
• Provide timely & relevant information
• Increase traffic and time on site
• Increase visitation to members in the district.
• Increase sales to member companies.
• Create revenue through on-site advertising opportunities
• Be cost effective to produce and maintain!
Desired Site Infrastructure
The following criteria must be met with the site infrastructure:
• HTML 5
• Dynamic Visual Design & Easy Navigation
• CMS that allows permission based instant/easy content updating
• CMS should be open source with strong user group, or custom with a thoroughly
defined roadmap and support structure.
• Strong Search Engine Optimization & Analytics
• Architected to use Google Analytics, and to allow for page-by-page SEO optimization with addition of appropriate meta data.
• Social Network Connectivity (flickr, vimeo/youtube, twitter)
• List Management System (For email signup and management)
• Cross-browser compatibility, code and css validation
• Contemplate the addition of ecommerce functionality for future revision of this
site (we won’t include in this RFP, but want to be ready for it the following year). Shopping cart
and system ready for possible membership dues or function payments
