WEB SITE CONTENT MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE SYSTEM
Create a flexible, informative website that is easy to maintain. Develop a customer-friendly site that can
deliver large amounts of constantly changing information to our key audiences (Township residents and
businesses). In addition to designing a user-friendly site with an intuitive interface, we would also like to
develop a web-based, database-driven administration tool that allows key personnel to easily update
content without the need to directly access source code
The Township wishes to redevelop the website in order to:
• Ensure infrastructure stability and integrity.
• Streamline and improve the user experience, making navigation consistent and intuitive,
and simplifying the look and feel of the website to allow meaningful ‘at a glance’
connections for all stakeholders from the homepage, and further exploration of all pages.
• Consistently communicate the services that the Township provides, highlight our full range
of programs, services, forms, etc., in order to empower and connect users with information
resources, direct services and with each other.
• Communicate time-sensitive details of, among others, news articles, legal notices, Board of
Trustee agendas and packets.
• Permit application processing, event registration and payment processing through the use
of forms, databases and e-commerce functions
• Capitalize on all possible social media opportunities, such as Facebook and Twitter.
• Encourage viral activity to spread the word about Pittsfield Townshi
