WATERFRONT CORROSION REPAIRS - COAST GUARD BASE BOSTON

The intent of this project is to complete waterfront corrosion repairs and related work at CG Base Boston, MA.

The work includes, but is not limited to the following activities:


Base Bid:
a. Wharf 4 and Pier 3 Concrete Pile Repairs:
(1) Remove deteriorated concrete and prepare surface of existing concrete piles.
(2) Provide cathodic protection pile jackets to encapsulate the existing concrete piles.


b. Pier 3 Electrical Improvements:
(1) Remove abandoned cable, conduits, shore ties, panels, and boxes.
(2) Provide four shore ties including all associated cables, conduits, panel boards, and boxes.
(3) Replace existing lighting system cables and conduits.


c. Floating Dock Repairs:
(1) Replace 12 floating dock guide piles.
(2) Install cathodic protection anodes.
(3) Replace UHMW wear pads and connection hardware.
(4) Provide gangway wear plate.


Bid Option:
a. As directed by the Contracting Officer perform the following work on additional Wharf 4 and Pier 3 piles:
(1) Remove deteriorated concrete and prepare surface of existing concrete piles.
(2) Provide cathodic protection pile jackets to encapsulate the existing concrete piles.


The anticipated construction time is 360 days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The estimated cost range of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Bid (SF24), payment and performance bonds (SF25, SF25A) will be required. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $36.5 Million. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 26 June 2018. The tentative date set for bid opening is 07 August 2018 at 2:00 p.m. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 14. Pursuant to FAR Part 19.5 Small Business set-aside procedures, this solicitation is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
