SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS NOTICE IS MARKET RESEARCH TO SUPPORT INCLUSION OF SOLE SOURCE (BRAND NAME) SPECIFICATION IN FY18 Sustainment, modernization and restoration of the facility to ensure total system compatibility with the existing equipment installed on previous construction land/or existing standardized systems across the installation at Fort Wainwright AFB, ALASKA - AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. The U.S. Army Engineer District, Alaska intends to specify the below listed items as part of larger construction contracts to be executed on Fort Wainwright AFB, Alaska. A determination by the Government to not compete this requirement, for the specific items listed below, based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Reference FAR 6.302-1(c), "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements - Application for brand name descriptions."


Items:
1) Monaco Transceiver (Fire Alarm System Relay) - Monaco Model "BT-XM" building transceiver, which must seamlessly report to the central Monaco fire alarm receiving station.


2) Federal Signal Remote Interface (Mass Notification Relay) - For monitoring and controlling the HVAC systems in all facilities on Base. The DDC systems in each facility must have the capability to communicate with the Base wide Delta control systems.


3) Best Door Locks and Cores -All lock cores and keyless entry systems must be compatible


4) Siemens APOGEE - All buildings on Fort Wainwright are required to be connected to this head end and to have Building Automation Systems (BAS) which provide full communication and functionality. With a Siemens system in the individual facilities, operators are able to operate and program the Building Automation Systems from the central location. During emergencies it is necessary to make such programming changes to shut down building systems or keep a building operational.


5) Monaco Components- to prevent foreign materials from clogging the standpipe water supply and to protect the connection from unauthorized use. The caps must provide consistency, compatibility, and sustainability throughout the base.
5a. Strobes/horns - Must be compatible with Monaco System. Is connected to the fire alarm panel designed to activate when a smoke detector or heat sensor detects the presence of smoke and fire.


5b. Strobes/horns - Must be compatible with Monaco System. Connected to the fire alarm panel and is designed to activate when a smoke detector or heat sensor detects the presence of smoke and fire.


5c. Heat detector - Must be compatible with Monaco System. Designed to respond when the convicted thermal energy of a fire increases the temperature of a heat sensitive element.


5d. Smoke detectors - Must be compatible with Monaco System. Designed with a sensor to detect smoke as a primary indication of fire. Provides a signal to the fire alarm system in the building.



THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE AND NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No solicitation will be available as these sole source items will be incorporated into the specifications of FY18 solicitations for Construction Projects on Fort Wainwright AFB, Alaska.


Vendors who offer the above items which can meet all of the above functional criteria are invited to respond to this notice. Responses must include the following information:


(1) Identification of the manufacturer's name, address, and country of product manufacture.
(2) Fully detailed specification sheets.
(3) Narrative addressing how your product meets the salient features listed above.
