SCOPE: The State of Vermont is requesting proposals for the conversion of its vital records
documents (birth and death records) from paper and microfilm to a digital format. The collection
consists of an estimated 1.2 million certificates and covers the period from 1909 to the present. It
is housed in 2 separate locations. The project will result in 2 products:
A database consisting of data elements extracted from the records as outlined in the attachments
to this RFP.
A collection of digital images of the records.
