Viewshed Analysis and Plan
The City is looking to employ a qualified consultant to conduct a public involvement process, prepare a visual amenity inventory, and develop a preservation plan for the community’s major transportation corridors. Both the City Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan, and the North Main Master Plan highlight the importance of preserving scenic amenities that help define the community. The City’s Gateway Zoning District requires potential developers to conduct a visual impact analysis and prepare a mitigation plan prior to development. The ultimate purpose of the plan is to provide a policy framework to guide preservation efforts and development review. The major work products of this project include:
