Vessel Charter to support sediment coring
The U.S. Geological Survey has a requirement for a vessel to support the collection of long sediment cores utilizing a Jumbo Piston Corer (JPC) and Vibra-Corer (VC), as well as remote operated vehicle (ROV) surveys and sub-bottom seismic data collection. The planned window of operations will be between September 9th and October 23rd, 2019. USGS Field personnel will mobilize and load scientific equipment on the vessel up to three days prior to the first leg of operations. The vessel will transit with the equipment and personnel to the study site for Leg One (Leg 1) near Morro Bay, CA. Operations of varying equipment will take place in three separate legs from central to northern California, requiring equipment and crew exchange at each leg interval in San Francisco Bay, CA.
