VerizonTelecommunications Relocation
The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate Rome NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase order under the authority of FAR 6.302-1(b)(3) with Verizon, 500 Summit Lake Dr., Valhalla, NY, 10595, to relocate cable and building terminal equipment at Building 1477 located at RRS remote site, Stockbridge, NY. Work will require Verizon to:
1. Install a new 100 pair copper cable through the manhole/hand hole system
2. Terminate and ground the cable on a backboard mounted protector block.
3. Install a new pedestal and terminate the new copper cable and future fiber optic cabling.
4. Remove the old outside plant copper cabling and termination devices from B1477 and the manhole/ hand hole system.
5. Test all pairs for continuity and resistance.
Verizon is owner of the existing equipment, protected by law, and, as such, is the only source with rights and authority to service, repair, and maintain said equipment.

No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. information received by the response date of this solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The associated NAICS code is 237130 with a size standard of $35,500,000 average annual receipts.
