Intent to Sole Source Contract to American Signal Company

FAR 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source (except brand name)


The U.S. Military Academy, Mission & Installation Contracting Command (MICC), West Point, NY award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to supply the American Signal Company (AmSig) GP-465T Quantity of four (4) Full Matrix Digital Sign, WebbEx CPU, GPS Module, Antennae, & RV50 Modem.
This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. \

The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), pursuant to the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available.
The Mission Installation Contracting Command - West Point on behalf of the United States Military Academy (USMA) West Point Directorate of Emergency Services (DES) intends to sole source, to (American Signal Company) for AmSig GP-465T Full Matrix Digital Sign, WebbEx CPU, GPS Module, Antennae, & RV50 Modem.


The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is NAICS 339950 (Digital Sign Manufacturers) with the associated size standard of 500 Employees.


This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to meet all aspects of the requirement.
