Vehicle purchase and modification
WorkSafeBC requests proposals from qualified Proponents for a new 2008/09 vehicle with the following requirements:
Vehicle conversion and maintenance services and
Installation and maintenance of secondary controls (i.e. hand controls).
WorkSafeBC intends to purchase ONE (1) of the listed vehicles and may enter a cost share agreement with the Injured Worker (Worker).
a) Chevrolet Uplander mini-van; or
b) Dodge Sprinter 3500 cargo van.
The successful Proponent shall supply, install and deliver the above requirements in a timely manner to the Worker. In addition, the successful Proponent shall provide to the Worker:
Orientation and education in the safe use and operation of the modified vehicle;
A maintenance schedule and user manual for installed equipment.
Selection of any successful Proponent shall be based upon evaluation of proposals received from qualified Proponents.
