Vehicle Reservation System RFI

WSF is interested in streamlining vehicle handling operations at its ferry terminals as part of implementing the vehicle reservation system. A major objective in establishing reservations is to reduce the impact of queuing ferry traffic in the vicinity of terminals without significant expansion of the terminal footprint in the community. The ideal system will be used as a tool, in conjunction with policies and business rules, to evenly meter ferry traffic arriving at terminals, particularly during peak traffic conditions, thus avoiding excessive queuing. This could be accomplished with several combinations of techniques and technologies, but the emphasis will be on rapid processing of vehicles as they approach the terminal.
