Value Engineering Services
Scope of Services
Under the terms of this Agreement, the selected consultant(s) will provide the following: Two (2) team leaders (Certified Value Specialists, [CVS]) and subject matter experts for Design, Construction, and Structures (if needed) for each Value Engineering Study. Each CVS shall lead the Value Engineering Team in developing job plans, organizing and leading the Value Engineering Team in completion of Value Engineering Studies for highway projects statewide, in accordance with the following requirements:
A. The Consultant shall develop a Value Engineering Job Plan that will provide an independent, rational approach to the identification and recommendation of alternates. This Job Plan shall include but not be limited to the following phases:
Investigation
Analysis
Speculation
Evaluation
Development
Recommendation
Presentation
B. The Consultant shall use the Value Engineering Job Plan during the Value Engineering Study and shall plan specific steps within each phase to ensure that the goals of the Value Engineering Study are accomplished.
C. The Consultant shall assist in the organization of a Value Engineering Team for the Value Engineering Study. The decision to use Department will be determined by the Department prior to the start of the Value Engineering Study.
D. The Consultant shall provide all equipment (computer, printer, paper products, pens, markers, etc.) and transportation to conduct the Value Engineering Study by completing all the phases of work.
