V-22 Conversion Actuator Ball Nut Seal-Scraper and Crossover Improvements
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement Contract N00019-12-G-0006 with the Bell-Boeing Joint Program Office on an ‘other than full and open' competitive basis to perform Recurring and Non-Recurring Engineering (NRE) associated with incorporation of a redesigned Conversion Actuator Ball Nut Wiper-Scraper and Crossover within the Pylon Conversion Actuator. The redesign will be incorporated into both the V-22 Production line and Fleet aircraft.
Bell-Boeing is the sole developer, designer, and manufacturer of the V-22 aircraft. As such, Bell-Boeing is the only responsible source with the necessary access to the technical data and requisite expertise to perform the contemplated effort within the required timeline. Bell-Boeing is the sole source managing database requirements for the V-22.
