The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, Grand Prairie, TX, intends to issue solicitation 15B41119Q00000001 for the provision of VT Welding Program. The contractor will provide the VT Welding Program in the Education Department at FCI Pekin, located at 2600 South 2nd Street, Pekin, IL 61554. The contract type is an indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit price. The award will be made to the responsible vendor who submits the lowest quote to the Government. A session is defined as one hour. The contractor will normally provide 4 (1) hour sessions per day, 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday, excluding Federal Holidays. To accommodate institutional needs, contractor may be required to add classes on Fridays. Work hours will normally be between 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM. These hours may be adjusted to meet the needs of the institution. The contractor shall not normally exceed 20 hours per week. Classes shall be generally scheduled as follows: Monday through Thursday 7:30 AM - 11:30 AM AND/ OR 12:30 PM TO 3:30 PM. The Government intends to place approximately 15 students in the program each year, which is includeive of a Base year, four (4) 12-month option years and a 6 month optional period. The Base year will only be for 9 months with an approximated 300 sessions for the year, which totals to 4500 sessions (15 students multiplied by 300 sessions). Each Option year will be for 12 months with an approximated 400 sessions per year, which totals to 6000 sessions (15 students multiplied by 400 sessions). More details are within the solicitation. The solicitation will be available on or about September 27, 2019 and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fbo.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is on or about October 25, 2019. Faith-Based and Community-Based organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. Insert the clause FAR 52.204-13, System for Award Management Maintenance, in solicitations that contain the provision at 52.204-7, and resulting contracts. This clause requires all contractors doing business with the federal government after September 30, 2003, to be registered in the SAM database at www.sam.gov. Contractors should include their Data Universal Number System (DUNS) number in their offers. The Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award by entering the potential awardees DUNS number into the SAM database. The acquisition is unrestricted. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 611519 with a small business size standard of $16.5. million.
