Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Human Factors Engineering (HFE) -Participant Recruitment
OBJECTIVES
VHA is interested in determining Contractor ability to recruit and schedule Veterans for various human factors engineering studies. The studies would be conducted either remotely using internet technologies, including web conferencing, or in person at a VA location. Veterans participating remotely will minimally have to provide their own computing device (e.g., computer, tablet, smartphone) and internet access; the Government will provide participants in face-to-face sessions with all necessary technology for the tests. The selected Contractor will also take notes during test sessions and reimburse participants. Study participants will be reimbursed depending on duration of study (30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours or more) and mileage when face-to-face participation is required.
Most studies will be limited to a maximum of 9 Veteran participants, and VHA expects a need to recruit approximately 140 Veterans a year. VHA is primarily interested in having access to participants throughout the United States but is also interested in ability to recruit in areas such as Nashville, TN and Washington, DC.
